Privacy policy

What this demo collects, and what you can ask me to do about it. The short version: nothing beyond what any website host records.

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Who is responsible

Aleksandra Hola runs this website and is responsible for the little personal data described below. Questions go through aleksandrahola.ch.

The site is run from Switzerland and follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.

The enquiry form

The form is part of the demonstration and sends nothing. What you type is checked in your own browser and never leaves it: it is not transmitted, not stored and not read by anyone. Submitting it only opens a note saying so.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a company in the United States. Their servers record technical data with every request, including your IP address, the browser you used and the page you asked for. That is what makes serving a website possible and what protects it from attack. I do not use those logs to build a picture of anyone.

Netlify is certified under the Swiss-US and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is the legal basis for that transfer.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, no social media pixel, no embedded video and no font loaded from anyone else’s server. Nothing here follows you to another site, and there is nothing for you to consent to.

One thing is stored in your browser: a note that the opening animation has already played, so it does not replay while you move around the site. It lives in that tab only, disappears when you close it and identifies nobody.

Links to other services

The Instagram, email, map and photo credit links lead to Instagram, Gmail, Google Maps and Pexels. Nothing is loaded from them until you click, and once you do, their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, and to correct or delete it. As the form stores nothing, in practice that is nothing. You can also take a complaint to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
